Meet Emily

Emily Greczyn first became drawn to horses at the age of eight years old. She took her first lessons at a summer camp in Florida, and then begged of her parents to get her in a regular weekly program where she grew up, just outside of Charlotte North Carolina.

She began riding at Meadowbrook Farm and Stables under the expertise of Mary Elizabeth Whelan, where she spent her middle and high school years learning horsemanship, basic riding, leasing horses and competing at local horse shows. Emily graduated high school in 2011 to then continue her education at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where she pursued a degree in Religious Studies. It was here that Emily began expanding her horizons and rode on the IHSA (Intercollegiate Horse Show Association) for three years, as well as finding Emily Zoltowski-Wilson (former Willington Stables) and began working and training underneath her.

During her years at Willington, Emily worked as a groom, a part time barn manager, taught lessons and summer camps, and rode every horse she could get her hands on. She also competed on the “C” and “A” show circuits. It was early 2015 when Emily decided she was ready and committed to pursue horses as a full time career. She opened Cornerstone Farm LLC in April of 2015, originating in Monroe, then later moving to Fairview/Indian Trail in March of 2016.

Ever since Emily’s first summer camp she has known she wanted to teach others how to ride horses. The joy that filled her soul was something that she wanted nothing more than to share with everyone else. Emily currently resides in Mint Hill, North Carolina with her lab and two shepherds, and rides/trains daily, doing what she loves.
